The mission of the Mineral Wells Fire/EMS Department is to protect lives and property through, prevention, intervention, and utilization of a safe, rapid response system to emergencies.
The Mineral Wells Fire/EMS Department is staffed with 17 Fire and EMS certified employees. It consists of a Fire Chief and Assistant Chief, three shift Captains, and twelve Firefighters/EMTs. The department has two stations and staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Mineral Wells Fire/EMS Department covers 24 Sq miles in our Fire District and a large vast area for EMS calls in Palo Pinto County. Mineral Wells Fire/EMS is the only staffed Emergency Service Department in Palo Pinto County. In 2015 The Mineral Wells Fire Department responded to 3,278 calls.
