On January 17, 2017, the City of Mineral Wells amended the Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan. The revision affects the days of the week for unattended watering.
Unattended landscape watering will now be permitted on odd and even days. Addresses ending with an odd number can water on odd numbered days and addresses ending with an even number can water on even numbered days. Unattended landscape watering on these specified days will not be permitted between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Hand watering of landscaping and gardens will be permitted on any day of the week subject to the time of day restrictions noted above. All other water use, such as washing cars, filling swimming pools, etc. will be permitted on any day of the week and will not be subject to the time of day use restrictions. The amended Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan is available on the City’s website (www.mineralwellstx.gov) for review and these specific provisions may be found in Sections 5.7, 5.8, and 5.9.
If you have any questions concerning these new water use restrictions, please contact the Public Works Department at 940-328-7777.
