Mineral Wells Fire/EMS

The mission of the Mineral Wells Fire/EMS Department is to protect lives and property through, prevention, intervention, and utilization of a safe, rapid response system to emergencies.

The Mineral Wells Fire/EMS Department is staffed with 30 Fire and EMS Texas Commissioned on Fire Protection certified employees and assisted by 10 volunteer firefighters as needed. It consists of a Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief and a Deputy Fire Marshal. Each of three 48 hour shifts are staffed with a Captain, a Lieutenant, and seven Firefighters. All of which are EMS certified, ranging from Basic EMT to Licensed Paramedic. The department has two Fire/EMS stations, one downtown and one on SE Industrial Parkway on the east side of the city. Mineral Wells Fire/EMS Department covers 24 square miles within the city limits and 123 square miles of area located in Palo Pinto County. Mineral Wells Fire/EMS is the only staffed Emergency Service Department in Palo Pinto County. In 2021 the Mineral Wells Fire Department responded to 3,655 calls.
