Parks and Recreation Facilities Are Reopening As of July 20th

All Parks and Recreation facilities are resuming their normal operating hours on July 20th, 2020. All parks and recreation programs such as swimming lessons, water aerobics and fall softball and kickball registration will resume as scheduled.

The Parks and Recreation facilities and programs will resume their normal operating hours, however, in an effort to follow the intent of Governor Abbott’s Order (GA-29) issued on July 2, 2020, the City of Mineral Wells will require facemasks at all of its indoor facilities such as the City Gym and the Mineral Wells Aquatics Center.  Patrons entering the water at the Aquatics Center may remove their facemasks, but all patrons must wear facemasks while on pool deck.  Patrons at the City Gym must wear facemasks at all times even when working out or playing sports as per the Governor’s orders.  The Governor’s Executive Order is listed below.

City Hall, the City Hall Annex, and all other City facilities will be designated “Masks Only” for all visitors and employees until further notice.  Please conduct your business with the City as much as possible by remote means.  The City Gym, the Mineral Wells Aquatics Center and the Parks and Recreation Department are now capable of accepting payments by credit cards.
