The Southeast Park hasn't been updated since 1993. I was 3 then and now I'm 25 with my own 3 year old girl. It would improve our part of town not just by aesthetics, but for the the over all morale....

The Southeast Park hasn't been updated since 1993. I was 3 then and now I'm 25 with my own 3 year old girl. It would improve our part of town not just by aesthetics, but for the the over all morale. It's no secret that our town isn't the richest. However, by revitalizing this park we create a safer place for children, reduce the rate of criminal actions in teens, and promote healthy active lifestyles which is good for everyone. There are numerous families on the southeast part of town as well as southwest and the park sits conveniently in the middle. This would be a great improvement for the town since we are also getting a new elementary school. By the newly constructed park, we demonstrate the town's strong focus on child development and education. Other than new equipment, I would love to see a small track outlining the perimeter for running/walking, and more trees for shade and a more natural scene.
