- Swimming Lessons
Due to the tremendous recent spike in coronavirus cases in Palo Pinto County and Parker County over the last two weeks, all Mineral Wells Parks and Recreation Department Red Cross swimming lessons will now be taught from the deck. This will eliminate any physical contact between the instructor and the pupil.
That will mean not much of change for the Level 3, Level 4, Level 5, Level 6, the Parent and Child classes, and the Adult classes because those classes can easily be taught from the deck.
However, for the Level 1, Level 2 and Preschool classes, a parent must substitute for the instructor being in the water because those classes are normally taught with the instructor in the water. If someone has registered for the Level 1, Level 2 and Preschool classes and a parent cannot be in the water, we will refund the full price of the class.
If you have any questions about this change in the swimming lessons instruction, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (940) 328-7803.
