[ARCHIVED] 24th Annual North Central Texas Area Fire Protection School

The Twenty-fourth Annual North Central Texas Area Fire Protection School will be held on October 17 and 18, 2009 at the Mineral Wells Fire Training Facility in Wolters Industrial Park.

Some twenty-two different courses will be offered. These courses include Fire Cause Determination, Emergency Driving (two day course), SCBA, Haz-Mat Transportation Emergencies, Live LPG Firefighting (day and night section), Vehicle Extrication, Forcible Entry, Wildland Firefighting for Career and Volunteer Fire Departments (two day course), EMS CE, Wilderness Search and Rescue (2 day course), Beginning Self Escape and Rescue, Basic Rappelling, SFFMA Certification Workshop, Safety Restraint Systems Airbags, Grant Funding, Salvage and Overhaul, Wildland Tactics After the Blazing Front has Passed, ACLS for the Basic EMT, Effective Radio Communications, Advanced Rappelling, Ladders and Combined Operations. AT THIS POINT, LIVE BURNS (Live LPG Firefighting and Combined Operations) ARE STILL SCHEDULED BUT ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION DUE TO WATER SHORTAGES IN THE MUNICIPAL WATER SUPPLY.
