Ryan Dunn

History

Chief Ryan Dunn began his career as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Plainview Fire/EMS in 2009. After serving the community of Plainview, he decided it was time to return to his hometown of Mineral Wells where he grew up and graduated in 2003. In 2010 Ryan was hired by Mineral Wells Fire/EMS as a Firefighter/Paramedic, throughout the years he advanced through the ranks to Deputy Chief in 2015. After the former Chief Mike Pool retired in 2021, Ryan was appointed as the Fire Chief of Mineral Wells Fire/EMS.

Qualifications

Chief Ryan Dunn is certified through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as a Head of Department for both Fire Suppression and Fire Prevention.  His additional certifications include: Master Firefighter, Master Fire Inspector, Master Fire Investigator, Fire Instructor III, Fire Officer II, Incident Commander, Incident Safety Officer, Plans Examiner. Ryan also holds certifications as a Licensed Paramedic and EMS Instructor through Texas Department of State Health Services along with an Associates Degree in Paramedicine.

Personal

Chief Dunn has continued to improve upon the long-standing tradition and rich history of the fire service here in Mineral Wells. Chief Dunn is committed to the safety of the community through the delivery of public education, code enforcement, fire suppression, and rescue services.
