Motor Vehicle Accident (Crash) Reports

Accident reports are available for purchase online via the TxDot Crash Records Information System website: https://cris.dot.state.tx.us/public/Purchase/app/home.

Information regarding an accident cannot be released until the report has been completed, approved, and returned to the Police Records Clerk by the responding officer.

Please allow a minimum of 7 - 10 business days for accident reports to become available for release.

For accident reports not found AFTER ten business days, please contact Police Records at (940) 328-7759 to inquire about a report.

Fees

INVOLVED PARTIES may purchase online a copy of accident reports for $6.00 (required State Fee) per report.

For all other non-involved interests, accident reports may be purchased online for $14.00 (required State Fee of $6.00 plus convenience fee of $8.00) per copy of report.

Obtaining Reports Online

(NOTE: Reports for accidents occurring BEFORE January 1, 2019 are NOT available online. Please contact Police Records regarding accident reports prior to this date.)

Accident reports occurring on or after January 1, 2019 may now be obtained online via the TxDot Crash Records Information System website:  https://cris.dot.state.tx.us/public/Purchase/app/home.

The following information is required to obtain an online accident report:

State in which accident occurred: Texas
Jurisdiction: Mineral Wells PD

Last Name and Date of Incident

Date of Incident and Street

Follow the on-screen instructions to register as a customer account and be sure to verify "permissible use of information" to order an online copy of an accident report.
